The tobacco industry is the greatest barrier to reducing tobacco use.  There is an urgent need to hold big tobacco accountable and pay for its abuses. In this session we aim to provide the audience with practical ways they can effectively monitor, document, expose and hold liable the tobacco industry for actions that undermine public health. Using a commercial determinants of health lens, learnings can be applied to other industry sectors that have an impact on cancer.Particpants will gain knowledge of tools and methods that can be used to monitor the tobacco industry, to convert industry information into compelling counter-narratives and to hold the tobacco industry accountable. The session will include practical tips on how to set up monitoring systems, document industry activity, use WHO FCTC liability provision, produce content and effectively market that content.
