Objectives
THIS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLYThis session is co-organized by the Commonwealth Secretariat and TogetHer for Health  Have you noticed that we hear less and less about the elimination of cervical cancer and more about HPV vaccination as a standalone intervention? The policy roundtable will seek to steer the narrative back to the immovable truths of the WHO global elimination strategy and share key messages and learnings for taking the next steps to scale cervical cancer screening and treatment of precancerous cancer. The 80-minute session will be framed by three segments: Revisiting the cervical cancer modeling exercise that led to setting the 90:70:90 targets and refreshing our understanding of what drives the shape of the incidence curve, especially in LMICs, as they move towards the elimination threshold of 4/100 '000 women or less. Sharing new case studies from early adopter countries to understand what factors in their models of care are leading to strong coverage. As well as discussing emerging questions and corresponding new technical assistance needs as they look to take the next steps towards national programmes. Targeting policy changes and other enablers of scale-up and drive towards 70:90, including civil society engagement and the emerging role of national insurance schemes.
