Objectives
How can we develop tangible and transferrable tools and methods of how to lessen inequities within cancer care? Join us at a seminar hosted by the Swedish Cancer Society, where we will launch a report on equity in cancer care across diverse groups and countries.   This seminar will spotlight the exceptional work of five organizations from which representatives will share innovative case studies, offering a glimpse into their approaches and impactful work.  The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Miriam Mutebi with introductory remarks by Ulrika Årehed Kågström, President-Elect of UICC and Secretary-General of the Swedish Cancer Society. By showcasing strategies and initiatives that bridge policy and practice, the seminar will highlight various crucial topics affecting diverse groups. These include, among others, the LGBTQI+ populations in the UK, efforts to increase screening uptake among physically disabled women in Egypt, ethnic minorities in the USA, and indigenous populations in Aotearoa New Zealand.  Together, we can make a significant impact and move closer to a world where everyone has equal access to quality cancer care.
